SYTYCD Season 4 - Finale
It’s going to happen tonight. By the end of this episode, we’ll have crowned the new champion of So You Think You Can Dance. __(’Read the rest of this entry »’)
But first, all the judges from throughout the season will be choosing their favorite routines from the competition and we’ll be seeing them all again.
One of the best group routines of the entire season is tonight’s top 20 performance, choreographed by Shane Sparks. Talk about entertaining! It’s too bad we had to wait until the finale to see this. Also, it’s nice to see everyone back together again.
The first judge pick of the night comes from Nigel, and it’s Joshua and Katee’s Bollywood routine. This is followed by Mary’s pick, which is Gev and Courtney’s rumba. Both great routines.
Next, a battle between poppers Robert and Philip, who both left the show very early in the season. We’d been hearing rumblings about this throughout the season, but we weren’t holding our breath that it would happen after being disappointed that we didn’t get a Nick/Blake battle in season one. Turns out we DO get to see it this time around, and it’s the first time a popping battle has been televised. After the judges vote, Robert wins the battle. Good for him! We were rooting for him after his first audition.
SYTYCD Season 4 - Top 4
It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the week of the finale already. It seems as though the season just started. Tonight, for the final voting night, we’re joined by judges Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and Mandy Moore. Each dancer will be performing in three routines tonight, as well as a group performance at the end of the show. __(’Read the rest of this entry »’)
First up are Twitch and Courtney with a hip hop performance. While this would be more entertaining if Courtney’s hideous pants weren’t so distracting, we really like it overall. Our rating: 9/10
Courtney’s final solo of the season is… just like all of her other solos. She’s always good, but it’s hard to note the difference between them from week to week, besides what she wears. Our rating: 7/10
